R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen & Irvin Kershner...
The super funny leader of spoof Leslie Nielsen has passed away at 84.Check out Ain't It Cool's heartfelt post, some great clips too. I agree Forbidden Planet, is a corner stone of Cinematic sci-fi...

I hadn't realised until just idly digging around online that Irvin Kershner has died too! Director of arguably the best Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Robocop 2 died aged 87. Dam it.

RIP Sally Menke...
Sally Menke, Quentin Tarantino's editor found dead. Sad news, I got the news late as I was in an edit all day. Needless to say she was quite a hero of mine. AICN already posted this, but it's good.

RIP Farrah Fawcett..
Just found this on Ain'tItCool.com. Bad news...Farrah Fawcett passed away today after a protracted battle with cancer. She was 62. Farrah appeared on TV's SPIN CITY, MURDER IN TEXAS, and was Emmy nominated for her performance in THE BURNING BED. Her film work includes the 1986 adaptation of William Mastrosimone's play EXTREMITIES, THE CANNONBALL RUN, and Stanley Donen's SATURN 3 - in which she costarred with Kirk Douglas and Harvey Keitel. She was also Holly, the hostess of the New You Shop in the 1976 film adaptation of William F. Nolan's LOGAN'S RUN. Farrah may be best remembered as Jill Munroe on CHARLIE'S ANGELS, and for a swimsuit poster which became one of its decades most memorable icons.
I was always a fan and not just for the obvious reasons. Her hair rocked. I'm gonna go and watch Cannonball Run.
