Frightfest line up announced...

Its that time again gore hounds, well almost. The annual London horror film festival 'Frightfest'(21st to 25th August 2008) is coming to your local Odeon West End and they've just announced the line-up. Don't know too much about many of the films on the list but certainly Time Crimes, Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train (sounds like a porn film dunnit), Tokyo Gore Police, Mirrors and my personal favourite, the controversial Martyrs, look like the films to watch. Single tickets go on sale at 12 noon on Saturday 26th of July and can be purchased from www.odeon.co.uk. See you there.

I love the French...

I never thought I would ever say that but, the French appear to be leading the way when it comes to brutal horror films. Recently they have given us a couple of reet nasties, Alexandre Bustillo's and Julien Maury's À l'intérieur (Inside) and Xavier Gens' Frontière(s). Now they seem to have upped the anti in Pascal Laugier's Martyrs. The recent international subtitled trailer has been banned (at the request of its director)? Well here it is.
