Turning Japanese...

I saw this last year at Tate Modern's Pop Life exhibition on a day out with the Geeagle. We were later to be arrested under the terrorism act, but that's another story.
Despite Kirsten Dunst being pretty annoying I really like this little homage to Japanese pop culture. Directed by McG it's probably the best thing he's ever done.

This is not the future my mother warned me about...

Getting sick of remakes and spin offs and dumb sequels?
Me to. If I see the Pink Panther 2 trail again I'm gonna shit.
But this is something different...

T3 was pretty arse, and after T2, probably one of the best sci-fi films out there, it's gonna be a hard act to resurrect.
I've never really liked McG's style. But I got a shiver. I also like that is starts with the immortal line from the original: 'What day, what year?' Rock...
Looks like Mad Max on heat.

No salvation...

Well, its been a long time coming, but they have finally released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Terminator Salvation. I absolutely love the first two terminator films (the third film doesn't count). I know its only a teaser, but to be honest, I don't like it! Its helmed by video director McG, who gave us such drivel as Charlie's Angels and  the subsequent sequel Charlie's Angels:Full Throttle and in my opinion is somewhat of a hack. The only thing its got going for it is its star Christian Bale, an actor whom I could watch no matter what film he was in. Anyway, judge for yourself. Watch it here.

I'll be back. Sadly...

Can't stop the machine. Hollywood is gonna spew out another sequel, that's inevitable. Short of catching a flight to Melrose Heights to burn down another studio backlot and tell McG what I really think of his colorful 'fast car' directing style, Teminator is set to return next year. The worst or the best part is that Christian Bale is playing John Connor? And Kyle Reese is making an appearance.

'It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.' Or at least the franchise is...

Might as well embrace it I guess.
Then I read this spoiler. Down at the bottom of the article, in the blue box.
Terminated.
