It's my trademark...

With Spike Jonze having poured time and love into adapting Where the Wild Things Are another kookie kid on the block, Wes Anderson, has decided to go for a stop-motion stylee Roald Dahl classic. Fantastic Mr. Fox. Looks nice, great cast and obviously a good story...what could possibly go wrong? Hey kids this is Hollywood...

Wild Animation...

Snooping about after writing the Spike Jonze Wild Things post, I discovered an animated version made in 1973 by Gene Deitch. Check it out.

It's a good adaptation, very loyal to the book and Maurice Sendak's illustrations.

Wild thing...

Spike Jonze has been shooting his adaptation of the childrens classic Where The Wild Things Are since 2005! They keep pushing the release date back, but by this is no ordinary adaptation. It may have been easier to make an animation. Just check out these stills, posted on /film blog, it looks like it may be worth waiting for. Live action and bad ass costumes, I'm so excited, think I might have to step up my dog_head design. Awsomenesss.

They are also gonna release some skateboards with monster designs on - not so sure about that, but Jonze has to make money and he does own a board company, might be cool?
