Tom Cruise hates Hitler, everyone else hates Tom Cruise...

Thanks Tom. Good to have these things spelled out - until you said that, everyone else thought Hitler was wicked. Given the general response to the film so far, the happy self-importance of Hollywood stars and the willingness of studios to rewrite history to make it more, like, rad, the discussion in the kennel turned to how much better the film would be if Tom Cruise actually did kill Hitler. Really, would that not be the awesomest? And the big question - what would be the killer line when he did it? I'm thinking something like "Hey Adolf...[cocks gun]...let's reich and roll".

Best of all would be if it was Mel Gibson who killed Hitler, but I can't see that happening.

Trawling around on the inter-doodar. Loads of cool stuff. Found some Watchmen behind the scenes videos, check 'em out - looks good. Nice to see how they are going to accomplish some of the filming problems the novel throws up. Practical lighting for Dr. Manhattan's blue glow for example.

I also found some Valkyrie stuff, including a trailer. Looks interesting, not sure about the lack of 'accents'? Tom Cruise sounds distinctly American. We'll have to see. Also "EastEnders" own David Bamber is taking up the Adolf mantel. I was hoping they would use Downfalls Bruno Ganz. It's also got Eddie Izzard, Terence Stamp, Bill Nighy, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Wilkinson. Should be intresting.
A quick look at Adolf Hitler on IMDb I noticed he's been in 229 films, played by loads of different actors. Might save more on that for another Blog.
