Rutger Hauer with a Shotgun...

Unknown first time director and writer Jason Eisener is just about to release the brilliant looking Hobo With A Shotgun starring Rutger Hauer as the Hobo, a homeless vigilante with a pump action gun and a hatred of all that's bad. It's based on Eisener's fake trailer of the same name used in the intermission on Grindhouse.
Check out the trailer...

And if you have a spare 15 mins check out this short by Eisener, it's about trees getting their own back. He seems to like revenge.

I love his Tarantino-esque use of typography too, plus his use of retro sound F/X.
Woof...

Mais j'échoue...

If you are thinking of catching Ken Loach's latest offering; Looking for Eric, a touching story of one man's obsession with the oblique Eric Cantona and how he turns his life around. Then be sure to get in the cinema with enough time to catch the brilliant short film that precedes it. Tim Gee's directorial debut I Dream of Zinedine Zidane. Zidane also deals with one mans obsession with a footbller. Jack McGinity's poetic writing pulls us through the world of The Dreamer in his quest for greatness, as Tim's stark black and white photography illustrates his love of the game and frustrated search for something more. Also as a shameless plug I had a hand in the post production. W00t.
If you can't make it to the kino then catch it here now...

I'm American, honey. Our names don't mean shit...

Check out this Short:

Very slick, very funny and very true? The more I dwell on it the more I want it to be real. Thanks to Tom out in the field.
The Roger Federer comment is pretty accurate too. On the same vain - when was the last time you saw Russlle Brand and Nigella Lawson in the same room? Think about it...

Hiya, Bambi! Watch what I can do...

This is about 2 years old, but I just found it again.

Very cool compositing and 3d skills - shame the film is about 10 times the length it needs to be.
One trick pony. Good trick though.
I'll give him a break, after all the director is only 19.
High res version here...
