Now Chris Moyles is in 'trouble'. Apparently he made jokes about Auschwitz and Will Young, although sadly not together.
Reading an article online I discover that there were no complaints about the Auschwitz joke, but five complaints about Will Young (so nearly all of Radio 1's listeners then). It seems no one minds if you poke fun at the Holocaust but insult a Pop Idol winner and that's too far.
Anyway Jonathan Ross is back so that's okay. I don't need Moyles any more, I can get my controversial and sick jokes from the master. I hope he makes another funny phone call.
Check out this article on the Guardian website - don't bother reading it all, far to long, but check the vox pop video. It's an interesting demographic; loads of women and a one worryingly excited man. And why are they outside BBC TV centre during the day? Don't you have job's to go to? Or are you all freelance editors?

I think the reason there are no complaints about Auschwitz from Radio 1 listeners may be something to do with their general intelligence, and awareness of the world and it's history.... which is probably not much. Many people exist in a wonderful bubble of ignorance and stupidity - making it a lot less competitive for the rest of us thankfully.....but a bit more irritating for people manning the phones at Radio 1.
Sorry, I seem to have turned into a massive knowledge snob there. But, hey...it's good to be interested in the world.

Yay for the world...
