You can't beat a bit of reet good typography. No, you can't. Any of you who attempted the recentley posted Empire Quiz will know how iconic typography can be - that's whether it's on a poster or on the titles of a movie.
Anyway, I've been digging a hole on the internet and found a lovely article showcasing some great examples of wonderful typography based design over at Smashing Magazine. Now I may be a motion graphic artist (or whatever), but that doesn't mean I don't hanker after one, single, beautifully designed page of type to chew on.
It's kind of made me realise I've been neglecting typography in my moving image work, and there's some fantastic designs here that have inspired me to be a bit more thoughtful about our good friend Typography.
If only they made alphabetti-bonio for us pooches. Woof.
